J.L Fontaine
Liam is quite a complicated character, a man in hate with himself and seemingly unable to control his criminal impulses. Yet he does control himself when he meets Laura, a woman who is quite possibly the first person to show him any kindness. Through her forgiveness of his past deeds, deeds he feels have left a mark on his soul, Liam wants to become a better person, someone unwilling to let her down.
The story as a whole is about forgiveness, of the self and of other people. It’s about not letting the past destroy your chances of a future, and about giving people chances when it appears they may not deserve it.
It’s beautifully written by one of the more talented authors I’ve ever known.
