At the time of writing this review, the book was in need of an edit, though I happen to know it will be getting one soon which ought to take care of the very few minor niggles I had with the writing.
This isn’t one story but several, all connected and each fascinating, on experiments performed over the world on a wide range of subjects – from political prisoners, to mental health patients and nuns. There are many different scenarios which all show in one way or another there is no end to human cruelty, kindness, bravery and compassion. Each character was well thought out, their stories well planned and told in a way that is entirely believable even while pushing at the unbelievable.
I’m very much looking forward to the follow up.
